Default Front wheel replace... tips, sources, specs confirmation?

Hey ya'll. I came here a few years back, mainly searching for some help with a high speed "weave" I've been dealing with for far too long. Bike rides fine and dandy, until I get up around 80-85 mph and then it starts to weave. It's NOT a high speed wobble, there's a notable difference. Hasn't been a big deal but gets a little annoying when making a quick pass or just taking her out to open up now and again.

Problem started immediately after installing the solid front wheel I picked up from craigslist deal. Local guy said his ol' ladies fatboy got too much wobble in the cross-winds. I took for granted the "ol' ladies" riding comfort and experience and assumed it should be fine for an experienced rider. Had a local bro (RIP) swap out the new to me solid wheel for the OEM spoked wheel and he kept the wheel. I've had this issue ever since but everything else prior with the existing setup was fine and rode smooth. I've swapped a fresh tire (dunflop E3, 130/90B-16), balanced and micro'd the wheel (well within' specs), even checked rake and trail (within' spec) because I installed "lowering" shocks, long before this issue started and this bike has been "totaled", inspected and rebuilt. Bottom line is... I'm done trying to troubleshoot and mess with this solid wheel. I have to assume at high speeds, that solid wheel is catching the wind enough to cause my instability. I like the look for my bike but I'm just tired of the issue. That said... I've got the bike apart for a few small repairs and to repaint the tins and custom bags, so there's no time like now.

Few issues I'm coming across. I believe the existing wheel is 16", 3.5" w/a 1" axle and single right hand brake disk but I cannot confirm all specs. I can't get a good measurement on the width because of the solid wheel, the tire bulge and no specialty tools and the axle is covered with spacers. I don't want to pull it all apart just to get some basic measurements and really shouldn't need too with this being a pretty straight forward OEM style setup. Unfortunately my owners manual doesn't list jack squat for specs.

So, I'm hoping to get confirmation from the crowd here on the measurements and maybe a few good ideas on where to find a good replacement. I'm not looking to get back into the stock spoke and would love a simple designed mag wheel but with the prices I'm seeing, I'm considering a more affordable fat spoke wheel off eBay or something. I don't want to end up with some cheap China **** but I'm not made of money either.

FYI, I checked the HD Forum ads and sponsors but just can't find what I need. I've searched the web for hours and despite that I used to consider myself pretty good at that, I'm coming up with very little or over expensive. I wish I could have done this over the last winter but I can't paint in my pole barn with the cold and humidity we have around here but I'd sure like to get this all wrapped up and get a few rides in before the season ends.

Appreciate tips, tricks, confirmation and/or referrals for a replacement. HELP? TIA and Keep the dirty side down!
Here's one I'm looking at... https://www.jpcycles.com/product/901...t-wheel-16-x-3

(2000 FLSTC w/custom hard bags mounted on a hitch-Doc frame, as seen in my signature pic. I've been riding all my life but wrenching has never been my strong suit.)

How are you balancing the wheel? Stick on weights or balance beads? I have heard of several issues from people running balance beads in the past. I prefer stick on weights. The wheel you selected should bolt up no problem but you will have to run a tube in the front as it doesn't look like it is sealed for a tubeless tire. Good luck on your project.

Think I'm going with a different wheel... https://americanclassicmotors.com/co...s/362019977195
I can't afford to drop 1k on a front wheel but my bike stance does need something a little beefier than the basic spoke, which is why I went to this solid wheel in the first place.

As for how it's balanced, over the last few years slowly chasing after this issue, I've tried every option except the slime. I use beads in my Bronco or Plow truck but prefer weights for the bike.
I was expecting a few more responses, showing off what people have picked up, where from, etc. but I must have done something wrong. I appreciate your response,

That's a nice looking wheel. I got a set of Fat Spoke 50's in all black off Ebay and have been running them on my frame up rebuild of my 07 Road King for the past several years without an issue.

Good to know. Thanks.
I'll probably check with my local Indy and see if he deals with Ultima and what he can get the same thing for.
