Picked up a d&d bobcat today for a softail. Want to mount to my 15 dyna but looks like they may just cover dipstick and clearance issues with further forwards. I have a 05 softail I was planning and may still put them on but bike needs tensioner and should just rebuild top atleast 61k. Have a freind just messaged me and want to trade for a set of new + something forged pistons pistons and andrews high lift cams and adjustable pushrods. Not sure what direction to go because I want a new exhaust for my dyna because Magnaflow suck at the exhaust manufacturing business, heat shield broke 2 months after installed they said they dont make the pipe no more so they dont honor there warrantee. Ideally I would trade for a dyna 2into1 bobcatz but probably have better chance at winning lottery. But just cleaned them up nicely and put softail on lift but dont want to start that project till I have everything in front of me.
What would you all do?
Obviously exhausts are subjective as far as looks and sound.... Only you can decide if the trade is a good, fair one...
As far as putting the Softail exhaust on a Dyna..... IMHO.... I personally like to use parts made for my various model bikes that fit well... I'm not a fan of jury rigging a part to make it fit... Fit & finish are high on my list of priorities..
