2003 Heritage classic fob disabled
The early Twin Cams (pre-2007 or 2008, I forget) had an active security system (TSSM)...
In other words you need to activate the security system manually and deactivate the security system manually with the button on the FOB. The security system doesn't activate automatically, nor will it deactivate automatically just because the FOB is near....
If he hasn't used the FOBs for years, the security system hasn't been activated for years either.... Just unlock the main ignition key switch, turn the kill switch on the right switch pack to "on", and the bike will start...
If you should want to use the security system. I'd start by putting new batteries in both Fobs.
To activate the security system you press and hold the button on the FOB until the signal lights flash twice to show the security system is on....
To deactivate the security system, push the FOB button twice, and the signal lights will flash once to show the security system is off....
If you have the optional siren attached to the TSSM, it will beep twice, in unison with the signal lights flashing twice, when activating the security system. The siren won't beep when deactivating the security system..... However, if you should accidentally set off the security system, you will most certainly hear the siren wail...
As far as the secret pin, there is a way to check it and change it... but I haven't done it in so long, I don't remember the procedure....
I hope this info helps....

The fobs use a 2032 battery. I liked the old security system. https://gonetouring.com.au/plan-your...y-fob-battery/
The original owner said that would be the first time it ever saw rain. With only 10k miles I believe him.
PS- it may have frenched trim rings on the headlight/spot lamps...

Good eye, he changed the trim rings, windshield and added the other extra items you mentioned. he saved and gave me the original parts. I put a new battery in it and got to find some slip-on pipes for it. Oh, and tires definitely needs tires. look brand new but probably 10 years old.

. I like the manual alarm on/off as well. Seems like less stuff to go wrong.
