Default Gear indicator lights?

Finally got out and rode my new-to-me 07 NightTrain today for a few hours and I noticed something odd. When I get into 6th gear I see a "6" in green show up on the speedo, but no other gears except "N" but down lower. Should the other gears be showing up? Doesn't make much sense for only one to does it?

Thanks!

Just a indicator to let you know you are in high gear, if there is a gear indicator on your model/year it would be in the odometer/info window on the speedometer I do believe that didnt come around unti the 2016 models. your owners manual will have this info, Ride safe.

The stock speedo only indicates 6th gear. You can buy aftermarket ones that will tell you which gear you are in when the clutch is out (moving).

Things are pretty primitive on older Harleys. A tac helps a lot.

Be sure to make your next new post over in the new member area.

Just in case..

Welcome from North Beach, FL., USA!

Just in case you have not done this and I recommend this only as a suggestion....

Add a Signature Line in your USER set up for your bike year, model, and all the letters that Harley recognizes it with. Others will see it at the bottom which enables them to know your exact model if you ever ask a question. All Harleys are not the same and year and all the model letters make a big difference.

Also, add an Avatar of your favorite shot in the USER setup for the small picture others will see in the top left corner of your post.

It's also very helpful to read the 'HDF Site Rules' listed at the top of the new member area.

You're all set.... Enjoy the ride! ______________
