I have a 2015 Heritage Classic. Head light works fine but when I flip the toggle for my fog lamps, the headlight goes out and the fog lamps dont light up. I have to turn everything off, flip the toggle switch off, and restart so the headlight comes back on. I greatly appreciate any help. The local motorcycle shop doesnt sell Harleys anymore so they dont carry parts. Id have to leave the bike but need it as we only have two cars and three drivers.
My bike 2000 Heritage, you flip high beam and aux side lamps go out leaving headlamp high beam only. That means there is a relay doing that. I'd bet your relay is shot. These are mainly automotive relays picked up at anh auto parts store. A service manual helps a LOT here. Best $100 you'll ever spend.
Yeah, there's something flaky going on w/ your switch, or relay. Have you thought about swapping everything for LED? If so, call @Customdyanamics and have them work w/ you on what's needed for this swap.

I have not actually but thats a great idea. That switch is a concern though. But may be something I can do myself. Now to just find one!
