Default Oil Cooler

Are there any oil coolers that actually work for a Fat Boy S with ABS? I know these run hot but my wifes right leg (she rides this bike) is turning red and the heat is killing her. In light stop and go traffic in running up to 310º heat temp.

There are coil coolers that bolt on the down tubes, there are heat shields (crotch coolers) and there are fans that bolt onto the horn bracket (Love Jugs).

310° that’s smokin.

An oil cooler alone isn’t going to help her that much.
My Ultracool lowers the oil temp about 20 to 25° but that’s that isn’t going to lower the felt external temp as much.

For me in order to get a noticeable “felt” lower temperature I had to:
Add a tuner
Upgrade the exhaust w/o cat
Upgrade the AC
Add a Capt. Itch crotch cooler (most bang for the buck)

I also added Love Jugs but that made the “felt” heat worst as they blow air across the heads out the left side to my left thigh.
In fairness they are not intended to reduce felt heat but to reduce head heat which they do accomplish that.

Sounds like the bike is stock. Decent Exhaust and air intake along with a good tune is in order. I do run a Harley oil cooler which is passive (No fan) it works but only cools the oil somewhat which is better than nothing.

No, sorry, 310º Head temp. I believe that is what the Power Vision tuner monitors.

Thanks, it has V&H Short shots, no cat. Power Vision tuner. I had love jugs on a previous bike and they did help a little. A/C is the stock Screaming Eagle. I will look into the Capt. itch option, I had been thinking about those.
