Glad you got it fixed.
silly question though...did you check your oil? That line you referred to is the return line from the crank to the oil bag....it would not take long to pump a lot of oil through a 1/4" hole..

Apparently they have fixed it on the 2008's. Simple fix. They put in a new battery with the terminal bolts mounting from the top to the botom as opposed to the side mount. I have no idea if the new battery will retro-fit to the earlier models.
