Anyone know if the Cast wheels on the M8 heritage will fit the TC softails, An acquaintance I ride with from time to time bought a 22 Heritage & he`s getting some fancy rims from wanaryd (I think thats who he said) - any way.......... He said he`d sell me the set for cheap (both for $650.00) I thought..........what the hell if they fit?
we didnt get into the technical of it, Im just checking to see if anybody knows off hand, I can do the measurements & bearing sizes when he takes them off - im not sure of the ABS on each bike either, will his bearings if the same size work with my ABS 2015 Heritage Softail?
Yeah, I had some buddies at my shop last year changing out rims on a RG & SG, and the axles had to go with the rims to make the swap. Be interesting to see if anyone has some insight on this - the dealers dont even have these rims for sale yet.
Your TC Heritage will be either 25mm bearings. I believe the M8 are 25mm. Measuring spacers isn't hard but will be the time consuming part. I would say it probably isn't a direct bolt on deal, but should be doable with a little effort. ABS is in the bearing, so if both bikes are ABS equipped it shouldn't matter.
This is stated in theory, I haven't done this swap before.
I have put m8 slim wheels onto a 2016 flss slim. Straight swap. Both ABS bikes and no problems.
On 2008 flstn Deluxe I have fit later deluxe wheels from ABS model and had to turn up new spacers as ABS bearings 2mm or 3mm thicker. Bolt pattens all the same..
Ado
The bearings (front and rear) are the same between 2015 and 2022, they are 25MM, the bearing and axle kits for both ABS and non-ABS show they are compatible on the Harley web site.
Yeah - I think ill take them when he gets ready to sell, I think $650 for the set is a good deal? although he`s coming to my shop & have me help him with the swap out, so maybe thats the reason for such a good price???? atleast I think it is? Thanks for the replies & help guys. when I do this Ill post how it went as well provide pics
