Default Fun towing the Softail

While some of you are still enjoying riding weather here in Ontario I had a 4 hour run to get my bike to the Indy who will be doing some work before the motorcycle show in January.
A few lessons learned:
Having room to stand up in the trailer is awesome, having high sides while towing on a windy and snowy day is not so awesome. Like sailing without any control.
Driving on snow packed roads with the trailer wheelbase wider then the vehicle makes for a fun contest on which tracks you end up in.
Finally, once unloaded and driving home empty with strong winds and occasional snow packed roads you get to watch your trailer try to pass you when on the slippery sections.
The bike is safe, my shorts stayed clean but it was not as much fun as a summer drive on 2 wheels LOL

We really went from "Zero" to "HOLY ****!" over night here in onterrible! Reaper's already been at a local shop, for over a week, getting her engine bumped up to 107ci, after developing a bottom end knock in late September... I missed the whole last month+ of unusually warm weather here. On the bright side, I still got in a good 26,000+ kms this season, and she should be good to go for the next 350,000+ kms come next spring, plus MOE PAWAH!!!

Cheers!

I think I was all of 8 years old when my father took me out on the salt water ice of the Shrewsbury river with an axe and a long handled, multi-pronged spear to spear eels and I gotta admit...I don't miss the sub zero temps and frostbite wind chill factors anymore than the pickled eel he made of it.

You might want a light windbreaker or hoodie at our beach right now.

I grew up by the ocean and as harsh as the Atlantic could be I loved it. 30+ years now by Lake Huron is beautiful in the summer but winter can be a bear.
We keep saying we'll go south for the winter but always seem to get busy with life here.
Enjoy the beautiful weather Jinkster!
