Hi guys
I am having a problem with the rear brake on my breakout. Rear brake feels fine and at higher speed it will suddenly go rock hard like and not stop at all. Like the abs is coming on and not letting go. Then I slow down and brake goes back to normal
all I have done is pull the wheel off to change tyre. But did have battery and abs sensor disconnected while doing so as i was doing other things with the bike.
I have had the abs bleed and calibration done but still not fixed it.
anyone had this before?
Thank in advance

I'm certainly not an ABS expert, as I'm not even sure what you mean by "calibration done"....
But if it worked before you pulled the rear wheel off, and it doesn't now... I would check your work...
DID you get the ABS sensor back in the correct place with the correct orientation...?
Maybe a caliper acting up? One or more of the pucks sometimes sticking? I am having this problem with my front brake (2017 UL, 93,500+ miles). Mine gets a little extra hard at times but also after awhile it gets soft. I can pump it up quickly for a short time but when that happens I spray out the caliper with brake cleaner and it's working like new in a jiffy. I think the pucks are getting gunk built up around them and causing them to stick. I have always blown them out pretty much weekly as well as using the brake cleaner in recent times but evidently I'm gonna have to get in there for a deeper cleaning. I've never had a problem with the rear. I had an indy change the front pads 4 or 5,000 miles ago because I didn't feel like messing with it and I doubt they really paid attention to if the calipers needed cleaning or not. I'll take a look at my 95k service which won't be long now and I'll be doing some other more in-depth Winter maintenance soon too.
Hopefully by now you've had your problem resolved but still, this may be useful info to someone.
