harley timer cover screws
hello harley part nimber timer screws 32690-99a chrome screws would anybody know the size of the screw why i am asking i might need the screw a little longer thank you

Per the online parts finder, the 2000+ OEM timing cover screws are:
#68042-99 - SCREW NO. 8-32 X 3/8 TORX HD.
For some reason, the parts finder shows the 2003 models having #68120-00 - SCREW NO. 8-32 X "1-2" TORX HEAD, SELF-TAPPING.
I'm not sure what that means.. maybe it's a misprint for "1/2"
In any case, they look like 8-32 screws, mostly x 3/8...

i took 1 screw with me to ace hardware and replaced the torks screws and put allen SS screws. by the way did i mention how much i hate torks? allen heads hold up much better. and i have used snap-on tools. they just seem to strip out too easy. me thinks they are made in china bolts that harley uses
