Default Wheel bearings

Does anyone know if you can swap to the older style tapered wheel bearings? My current 9276 bearings are shot. I dislike the idea of a ball bearing in wheel applications. I think they switched to ball bearings in 2007 or 2008. Any ideas?

Not that it matters but the sealed ball type started in 2000

Ordered MY 2010 bearings and MY 1999 bearings to see how they compare. Thinking I may convert to the MY 1999 bearings, wheels and axles. That way I have tapered bearings that are serviceable.

I don't have a firm answer for you, but for some reason, the little bird in my head is saying you won't be able to make it work without changing wheels, and then there would be an axle size difference to deal with. I hope I'm wrong.....

2010 use a 25MM axle.

Tapered roller wheel bearings all use a 3/4" axle.

Thanks guys. Like I stated I may convert my whole setup to the 1999 version. Wheels, axles and bearings. IMHO sealed roller bearing have no use in an axle application. Any older vehicle I have worked on have had serviceable tapered roller bearings. A much better design for side load axle applications.
