Per my previous post I purchased a new aftermarket speedometer, it's a VTwin mfg for a direct replacement for a HD p/n 67033-99. Can these be programmed to put the milage that was on the bike?
It's not a big deal if you can't but if you can I would like to.
I don't think it can be on that old a bike. If I remember, I had to have the Speedo replaced on my 06 RK and they kept the bike at the dealer because the mileage had to be sent in to program the unit and they wanted it to match what was on the bike. I know after 13 or 14 the mileage was stored in the computer not the speedometer so it would allow you to change the gauges and it would update after 30 miles or so. Good luck with your project....
