This is answering a old thread but on the se compensator bolt instructions say tighten to 100ftlb and back off 180 degrees and go to 140. I tighten to 150 with red stick lock tight. No problems. Have a 2008 Rocker-c. It's been good to me.
It would have been nice if you posted a link to the old thread you referenced. Did you join the forum just to tell seasoned Harley owners how you tighten a compensator bolt? Do you think telling us your method will change how we do it? I am confident we'll continue to use the method the factory recommends.
