Default Starter issues

2011 Heritage softail. Before i get it trailered to Dealer I am wondering if the symptoms tell me anything ? All electrical working fuel pump comes on absolutely no sound from starter no clicking anything. Fresh battery (I thought that might be issue) fresh key fob battery ,checked fuses. The only thing I thought strange is battery did tank just before the starter no longer worked. Thanks

Check your battery cables - at the battery and under your oil tank where your starter is.

starter relay getting energized? voltage to button ? lots of things to check before you hand a blank cheque to the dealer. Got a multimeter?

Thanks for the info guys, being a Softail it is hard to get in at anything with oil tank in way, I am trying to find a definitive way to check starter while it is still attached to bike

If there is no click at all when hitting the start button, then the problem is most likely upstream of the starter itself.
Battery, wiring, ignition switch, kill switch, start button then starter relay are the components to be verified before tearing into the solenoid/starter.

I had a bad relay. No idea how to test one, but they're cheap to buy one and swap it out.

Jump a hot wire to the small terminal on the starter to see if she'll spin, does the starters ok. Doesn't check the fuses, the relay and wiring connections upstream from the starter. Don't know if that year had any nanny safety interlocks or not.

Make very sure the bikes in neutral before doing this.
