I received the dash and threw it on a shelf in my garage. Then I got so busy I completely forgot about it. Yesterday, I had a few minutes to spare and finally got the lens swapped out.
The new lens is clear, beautiful and lot easier to see.
Thanks to everyone for the suggestions.
Now my next search is for mid frame hear shield. I'm sick of burning my legs up.
It appears that the closest year I can find is for 2000 Softail. Nothing for a 99.

check out Captain Itch. I bet he makes one for your bike.
I was looking for a composite shield that mounted to the frame and protected heat from the head only.
I have the pipes wrapped and shields on the outside of those.
I had tried a cheaper version of Captain Itch's and I melted those things in 30 minutes.
But since they don't seem to make the type I'm looking for, I'm gonna run with Itch's product. They look much better quality and I seen numerous pics of them sitting right on exhaust.
Thanks again!
