Default Exhust colouring

Found a cheap set of exhusts for my 2006 FB, it has no exhust guard so in the first day they started to colour, they look like LONGSHOTS, but arent the VHines ones.
Is there any way to stop this, remove it or is something I have to live with or buy another set ?
Thanks, Rick

There are some products on the market that are supposed to take the bluing out, but I've never used them so I don't know how good they work. From what I've seen/heard, people normally will wind up getting new pipes after a while. I know that's probably not what you want to hear. Maybe someone else on here knows of something that will get it out. You could always wrap the exhaust, also, but that's probably not a look you're going for.

You can't stop it or get it back to the chrome color, sorry.
That's what the heat shields are for. To hide the discoloration.
They're really not "heat" shields.

the maker of your pipes should have some that will fit. they usually attach with hose clamps. if they don't have any you will have to look for pipes that have similar bends and hopeshields fit. Seems i have seen some kind of flexible metal wrap. kinda gives that old school look. maybe try to google motor cycle heat shields
