As delivered from the factory, I suspect it did.....

On a 1994 Fat Boy, the OEM air cleaner cover trim ring (#29256-90) said "FAT BOY" on the bottom half of the circle...

Interesting. My 2002 has "Fatboy" as one word in all caps, with no added space between the Fat and Boy. It is only on the OEM air filter cover and not above the ignition switch.
The above picture that Mr H. posted of the 1994 FB for reference, it looks like it is "Fat Boy", as in two words with a space. Sorry the picture came out so HUGE. Not sure what I did wrong.

Apparently HD has gone back and forth on how to display the "Fat BoyŽ" model name..... but it seems that the official name IS two words.

On the HD website today, showing the advertisement for the "2023 Fat BoyŽ 114"... They have the registered trademark symbol (an R with a circle around it) after the two word name, "Fat BoyŽ"..

I have also found numerous articles about the Harley "Fat BoyŽ" to include an article about the original 1990 Fat BoyŽ model.

That would suggest to me, that unless it is a ton of typos, the actual, legally registered trademark name for a Fat BoyŽ is in fact two words..

Why the MoCo has gone back and forth with displaying it as one word and then two words.... heaven only knows...
