Last weekend I let some Fire Fighters wash my 2003 Deuce for a fund raiser. They sprayed a degreaser on the rear wheel, and stained it. It now has spots and streaks. What if anything will bring it back to it's normal luster?
I've offered to sell it to someone already, but if the deal winds up not going through, I have the stock rear wheel of the Deuce I just traded in that I would be willing to sell. I hand polished it with Mothers Aluminum Polish. But I've already offered it to someone so I can't/won't back out of the deal. That's not my idea of good business. But if for whatever reason he decides he doesn't want it, it could be yours if you're interested. Of course that's if you can't clean yours up.
That wheel is a tough wheel to make look nice. Just for the reason and as I was due for a new rear tire, I got a chromed Deuce wheel from Chrome that hog. Was 300 bucks after sending backmy old wheel. Did also get the chrome rotor and pully to add to it but very happy with the look and getting rid of that dull bland wheel.
Cheech ; try a mothers powerball. like you my rear wheel was dull and stained so while I had the wheel off during tire replacement I used the powerball with this metal cleaner and polish I purchased at a car show some time ago GREEN MAGIC PLUS made by GREEN MAGIC ENTERPRISE Kingwood , TX with little effort (and a few beers) you will be surprised with the outcome I am sure it can be done with the wheel on the bike it was just easier with the wheel off . I will try to post pics later good luck Lefty
as posted above, use the mothers aluminium wheelpolish. it will make that baby shine like a mirror. i couldnt believe the difference after i used it. you can get it at almost any automotive store like autozone, pep boys or advance auto. you wont be disappointed!
