Default Deuce Rear Wheel Cleaning Tips Needed?

Anyone got advice for cleaning the road grime and brake dust out of the notches in a rear Deuce rim? When it's not Snowy and icy my bike is ridden daily which means frequent washes. I like the bike to look pristine all the time and i'm always disappointed with the looks of this wheel. HELP! Someday I'll replace but for now I just need to polish and clean.

I use a bathroom type cleaner that has a powerful stink to it. I think its something with a bit o bleach in it, so you must be careful around other parts. I spary it in a small area, then use a toothbrush to scrub the crap out of the notches. I have had pretty good luck getting my wheel looking near new this way. It gets rid of that black stubborn stuff that builds up in between the notches.
Hope this helps.

When I had my Deuce I would wash the wheel then use Mothers to polish it by hand. Every time I polished it came out looking shinier, and it put a protective coat on it that kept the wheel cleaner (with regular washing)for quite a while before I would have to polish again. Maybe twice a year. Mothers worked better than Simichrome (sp?). It took some time & elbow grease but was well worth it. Polish your rear sprocketat the same time for good results it you don't have a cover on it.

Will also add that a buddy had his Deuce wheel chromed, that looks AWESOME. But until then the Mothers will make you happy and reduce the crud build up & dullingof the wheel.
