08 Deluxe knock
I upgraded from my 06 Deluxe to the new 08. (105 copper n black) . Anyway I like it except this is the second 08 I have heard that has a terrible knock when starting the engine. My 06 did not have it.
This may have been posted before but I am new to the forum and wanted to see if there were any recent ideas or comments. My friend has an 07 Heritage and it knocks as well. I am thinking it comes along with this bigger engine.

If you're talking about the one big knock as soon as the engine starts, it's the compensator being bottomed out when the starter engages and rebounds back when the engines starts making the knock sound. Perfectly normal.
