Default New B installing big radius and big sucker

I have a 2007 Night Train. These are the only upgrades that I plan to do to the motor. Installation should be a breeze but I'm confused about the whole fuel mixture thing. I have an appointment with the dealership for a download. Is this a bad idea or should I just get a powercommander. From what the dealership told me that they weren't just putting in the typical stage 1 download. He basically said it'd run a little rich when he's done. Does that sound right. Any help would be appreciated.

Depending on what they are charging you for the remap I would probably go with a tuner. Many more tweaking options down the road. I just put on my BSS, Ness Big Sucker, and PC III last night and haven't been able to test it out as off yet but come quitting time it's time to ride!

The only thing I can say is I have the Stage 1 race download and the Big Radius pipes and it was ok, it had some decell pops and an occasional shift pop, so I added the PC3 to improve the tune. The nice thing about having them both is if the PC3 goes out I can always run the bike without it. You didn't say what year your bike is, if it were me and my bike was an 07 or newer I would go to the extra expense of getting the SE race tuner and not get the download, but a softail 06 or older doesn't have the O2 sensors, that's why I went the PC3 route. Just my opinion.

Sorry, it's a '07 Night Train. I don't plan on doing any kind of motor work. Just the air cleaner and exhaust and thats all. Thanks for everyones replies so far.

I also have an 07 Night Train. I have Rush pipes and I have not done the AC. When I do,I will get the ThunderMax with AutoTune. That replaces the O2 sensors and will change tuning automatically to be correct for your bike. Leaves very little guessing, and no dyno work for your shop.

The HD DL is not the best way to go, you'll make out better with a plug in fuel management system.
