Handlebar Change
The grip position on my 2015 Heritage Classic causes an ache in my upper back after only 30 minutes or so of riding. Now, I'm 63, so pains are not uncommon, but I believe (based on the riding position of my other bikes), that if grips were perhaps 3" (or more) closer to me, I'd be much more comfortable. I can't be positive since I didn't buy the bike new, but I'm assuming the handlebars are the stock 56569-09 part. From what I could find, the dimensions are:
1" Diameter
32.5" Tip-to-Tip Width
7" Pull Back
10" Rise
11.5" Base Width
3.14" Knurl Center-to-Center
So, what handlebars would you folks suggest? Should I just get an after-market bar with a 13" rise (or more), and then angle it further back that my current bar? If I go that route, at what point will I have to get longer cables? I'm not afraid of doing the work, but if I could get a more comfortable ride without dropping a ton of money on cables and brakelines, I'd be thrilled!
Thanks!
Dave
