PS: What do you do for work Scotty? If you need any computer stuff done let me know... had the largest BBS in Australia for 8 years, 4th ISP setup here and over 24 years experience so if you own a business and need computer guru... let me know.

Which BBS did you run?

I ran an Amiga BBS for a few years Bandits BBS which was part of Global Overdose (GOD)
That was long time ago now and I have been into computers for a long time.

If you can afford a Benz you can afford a digital camera so get busy, you got no excuse for not showing usScotty's scoot Bike sounds cool.

As for the riding around naked.... you'll have to stop any contact with Jorge until further notice

Good advice re. the trip meter ... and damn... I need to renew my Kings Park, Plumpton and Stanmore Maccas drivethrough stickers... INFACT I have ordered a detachable flamed windscreen just so I can grab a bite and get a free drink when I am out on the bike!

DeanO, as usual you are a fountain of information both relevant and entertaining.
Thanks for the tips, I will PM you with answers to your questions soon.

I will get off my **** and take some pictures of my scoot. Mines just a stocky FLSTF thats been stage 1'd with S/Slammers, braided bits, Mini bullet led's up front, layback plateframe, side toolbox, sissy bar, relocation kit and a weekday badlander seat.'

A maccas VIP card is considered valid currency for almost anything west of Parramatta! They even have a mcrub and tug at Penrith.

You aren't pursuing the shopper dockets? Everybody out here does

I thought a muesli bar was something a health food fanatice got in the morning!

DeanO

In the words of Dr Evil : "Pretty standard really"

------------------------------------------------------------

But I digress....

As a concerned fellow cyclist I am worried that you may be doing a bit of naked midnight riding while floating on the Stilnox pillow.

I can recognise the tell-tale symptoms 'cause I've been there too - I'm here to help you big guy.

To be sure the Midnite Cowboy only plays home games, can you reset the B trip meter on the sled and hide the Kings Park Maccas VIP card before you passout each night.

The trip meter will serve as some form of record that can be drawn upon during the intervention and the VIP card will sport a few less holes punched in it!

We wont persue the shopper dockets at this stage.......

Oh, and those sesame seeds you have been finding in your bed.... aren't from muesli bars - sorry to break it to you like this.

Regards,

500cc Formula One TBBS...we had 96 line TBBS system when we shut down and switch to Internet in about 1996.... (damn, was it that long ago...). So yeah we were bigger than ADAM in SA when we switched... it's a shame really as I preferred that to doing internet. No tech support necessary, everybody knew what they were doing back in the pre-windows days... or they didn't bother with a computer

Started off on an Amiga 2000 with PC Bridgeboard before going the IBM PC route.

DeanO

PS: If you're gonna ask about the name... because it got me to the top of the alpha-numeric bbs list so everybody called us first

Actually the postage was more than that .... just checked credit card statement but still WAY cheaper than buying though a middle man in OZ.

I ordered them last Wednesday and got them 5 days later on the MONDAY... packed well and the shipping was through the us postal service and delivered to my door for less than $20US in big box with auxiliary lighting and spare bulbs. Will be installing them and the new Carlini bars today! Bypassed customs complete becuase under $1k. I am getting my wheel sent back as seperate lots.

Even if customs do get them there is no duty on 98% of stuff... only frames and a couple of other things. But they slug you $100 or more for customs clearance fee then send it by AUstralia post... so then you hope it doesn't get lost.

Ronnie Lewis from Ronnie Lewis Custom Cycles in Kentucky is my 100% recommendation and I get EVERYTHING though him now. He will sort out your shipping issues and answer ANY questions. I have spent over $6k with this guy already... couldn't recommend him any higher! He's the best! mailto:lewis_custom_cycles@yahoo.com

DeanO, re customs on the parts from HD Chicago - did they hit you with anything?

I note you mentioned anything under 1000 they let through, it's a good tip. Best to split the orders??
