If you open the recall listed in post #4, it will spell it out.
They are basically changing the 1/4-20 screws holding the remote shock adjuster to the frame, with 5/16 screws. The recall says the "Involved Components" are the #942 "SCREW,BTN,SCKT HD,TORX" which is a 1/4-20 x 3/4 w/lock patch, grade 8 screw and #10200673 "SCREW,BTN HD SEMS, TORX, 1/4-20 x .6875"..... but they don't list the new 5/16" screw part number that comes in the recall kit.
They say that, "bikes produced or shipped after 8/7/23 contain revised hardware for securing the rear shock adjuster." However the HD parts finder still shows the #942 screw in that spot, so they haven'y updated the parts finder with the new screw part # yet...
I checked several of the affected bikes and all had the #942 1/4-20 screws holding on the shock adjusters. I didn't see the #10200673 on any of the few bikes I checked, so I can only believe that some models use the #10200673 instead of the #942.... but I don't know for sure...
If your bike is affected, you could pull those two screws holding on your remote shock adjusters, and replace them with a grade 8, 5/16" screw of the same length. You'll probably have to rethread the screw hole in the frame, as I don't see any separate bolts for those screws on the parts finder.
Hey, it would save yourself a trip to the dealer...
But I would probably have the dealer do it just to have the documentation in their system show it was done.

I pulled the seat to look while waiting on new tires as deal was to lose the white walls.
Anyway it was just laying in there with bolt broken off.
This was after they claimed to have it "fully inspected".
Could definitely tell it had been riding that way for miles.
