Freakin speeding cager...
Riding the Blue Ridge Mountains today
having a great time
suddenly around a curve passing another car in the oncoming lane is an old ford truck. Speeding to get around the car and trying to get out of my way. Man was that close but wait I see a rock come from under his tire flying towards me. No time to react and boom it bounces off my 5 month old bike.[:@][:@][:@][:@][:@][:@][:@]Hit the front fender.[:@][:@][:@]nick about the size of a pencil eraser. All the way to the metal. What do I do since I can't shoot the jerk?[

Let the air out of all his tires! You had a angel with you when he missed you, I'm not sure if you said how fast he was going, but a head on with a pick-up and you are road kill. PURPLE HAZE.

It is certainly fortunate that is the only damage, although I can feel your pain.
While on a ride yesterday, we were on a fairly narrow road traversing the hilltops between Mt. Baldy and Azusa canyon (for those familiar with So. Cal.), which is fairly twisty. As we were snaking our way across, just cruising in second gear the whole way and nearly mesmerized by the synchronicity of it all
, we were promptly and rudely brought back to reality by an import doing his 'Fast and Furious' impression around a blind corner. He was followed by three of his closest friends, I suspect, as they were all hot-footing it pretty good. Fortunately we were cruising and staying on the right side of the road, and fortunately they weren't too far into our side of the road, but it certainly was enough to get the ticker pumping.
Just another couple of examples how we have to always be on alert for the cagers, as they're usually our worst enemies on the roadways.
