Softail Slim Nacelle install...headlight not fitting
Gents - installed an S&S nacelle on this thing which I thought would be pretty straight forward but it sure wasn't. After shaving the opening for the bar risers, finally got this thing on and my gdang HD day maker doesn't fit in the damn socket. Hopefully there's a straight forward part to make this happen, if not, I'd advise against the nacelle. They look so cool but this thing has sucked every step of the way.
Anyway please let me know if you know of a solution, short of me cutting out the back of the dish.
Doesn't Amazon have different mount rings for the import daymaker lights because of that same problem?
i'm not sure, i figured a 7" headlight was a 7" headlight, let alone one with a HD part number attached to it. I see that hogworks sells a light with a mounting kit which could be a solution too.
i'll see if i can find what you're talking about on amazon
