I tried to obtain some advice before about whether the HD chrome tool boxes fit the FLSTC 07 left and right side. However someone mentioned their gun fitted nicely intotheir tool boxand the issue got side tracked on what gun fits where and locking it away and who to shoot and why. So my question is to an owner of a flstc 07who has done this. Can you fit the above to the above on both sides of the bike. As the manual sataes the right will but no mention of the left. Many thanks.
P.S. I found the gun info interesting...wish I had one.
they make one for each side . i wanted mine on the left but the true duels prevented this it would have hit the pipes. they have tow different part numbers for the right and left. i actually bought the left one and had to return it
No problem putting it on your bike, but you'll have to extend your passenger peg and it doesn't work with footboards. I found the stock mount puts it too high and sticks too far out for my liking, so I made my own mount to get it lower and tuck it in better. I'll try to remember to take a picture tonight. 64937-00 is the one you want for the right. Book doesn't say that the left one fits yer bike, but if you don't have dual exhaust, I don't see why it wouldn't.
I put one on my 07 flstc and one on my wifes 07 flstc. I made my own rear peg extension as the one they want you to buy puts the peg out too far. Next they have a relocation kit for the saddle bags. I didn't want to move my bags, so I angled the chrome box slightly and redrilled for the mount bolts. Next, the lock can be opened with any HD key. I found a replacement lock for $5. that almost is a bolt in replacement. ( slight touch up with a flat file ). Don
