I tried doing a search but it was of no use. Has anyone replaced their horn with an aftermarket horn and if so, what did you go with. Hate the stock horn but would prefer a plug and play.
I guess that I should have been more specific and stated that I did a search on this site and was unable to find anything. Google was the first thing that I did but I wanted to see if anyone here has installed an aftermarket horn. Thanks for your help though.
I had a horn quit working on one of my bikes, I think it got really wet once! and I replaced it with a factory horn what Harley calls a extra loud horn and that som-b is loud!!!!
and sounds better than the stock horn so I replaced the horns on my other bikes with this horn also!!! just plug and play!!!
Most aftermarket horns will be plug and play and louder than a stock horn. Some, like mine, will require adding a relay. There are endless threads on the forum about aftermarket horns. Have a read...
I put a Denali SoundBomb Mini on my ‘20 softail.
Easy plug & play install without adding relay.
It changed the embarrassing stock ‘road-runner’ beep-beep sound to a good & loud “get the hell outta my way” sound.
Well worth the $

On my euro bikes i also used sound bombs and piaa horns. On my heritage, i used dual trumpet air horns. Believeit or not, the new hd horns are loud and installed a new hd horn on my buddy's 08 hd, pieceof cake!
