Default header pipe leak

hello.....Has anyone had a issue with the header pipe leaking ? I had new Vance and Hines pipes put on after maybe 50 miles or so I heard a chip when ever i gunned the throttle did not know what it was at first , so I took it back to my mechanic he tighten up the header bolts on the exhaust and it was fine for a few miles then again it would do it... so I tighten them all up.he told me that the gasket has to seat but how many times do you need to tighten the bolts?? any suggestions

I've replaced many exhaust systems. If you use new gaskets and align the pipe properly, you won't have a leak. Once the gasket starts to leak, it's best to replace it. The cost for a gasket is minimal compared to the inconvenience of always having to tighten it.
