if you are riding solo and don't a lot of gear you could get a passenger backrest and go for a pack, the one below is a new product that is endorsed by Adam Sandoval. But there are other backpacks out there. (just giving you an option to think about)
I am riding solo, I already have a pack taking up the back seat
That top round pack most likely will not be up top, most likely on the back rack
Still a sleeping bag, sm tent etc to pack on
Saddle bags would give me extra room down low for anything heavier
Yes, I have decided against Custom Harley Garage, rather go with a well known source
I did contact Leather Pros -waiting to hear back

I gotcha. My link was just for general use, figured you could put in your own bike. They seem well made with good reviews.
Not a personal experience, but, I'd suggest staying away from Viking. To many horror stories and I know a couple guys I work with that had them, and they were low budget at best. If you plan on keeping the bike. I highly recommend you TT the guys over at Boss Bags. Yea I get the cost, but you'll never regret it, due to the quality.
Just remember, ole Ben said it best. " The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten"
I'm actually looking at the Series 50 bags for my Heritage.

I did contact Leather Pros -waiting to hear back,
Emailed Leather Pros asking why they do not fit a Fat Boy, never heard back
Leather Pros Musta heard me typing
Emailed back to say their bracket does not fit the Fat Boy
Back to the standard SaddleMen bags which do not have the EZ detach
