Default Flasher relay

Just installed the Badlands lluminator, LED tail/ brake light, rear and front turn signals. The turn signals are hyperflashing and I read somewhere that a flasher relay with adjustable timing of the blinking was an easy fix. So I bought that flasher relay which was supposed to fit the 2009 Softail custom. However, I cannot find any relay that looks like that under the seat. Anybody got an idea where that is located or did I waste my three bucks?

I am assuming you have a 2009 softail custom based on the flasher relay you bought...

FWIW.... the pre-Canbus bikes, like your 2009, will hyper-flash when adding LED lights. They need a load equalizer to stop the hyper-flash. I've never heard of adding a "flasher relay" to fix that problem. I guess it could be different on the international models, but this would be the first time I heard of that difference.

You may want to check the part number of the Badlands Illuminator run/turn/brake module you purchased. They have a couple different types of that module.

I suspect your Badlands Illuminator is their stand alone run/turn/brake module, instead of their combination run/turn/brake module with built-in load equalizer like the one below..

https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/...sku_id=1799035

If you did get the one with the built-in load equalizer, I would suspect something is amiss with the installation or the module may be faulty...

Keep us posted on what you find...
