I had one on my Sportster and it worked very well. Back from a ride, press the button and see the oil level. Nothing easier.
During washing it would obviously get wet and the same riding in the rain. Everything was okay for a few years but then after it got wet again it never dried out properly and stopped working when I went to use it.

Years ago, I had the analog dip stick/oil thermometer, but after a few months of use I replaced it with the stock dip stick because the thermometer dipstick was so loose in the fill hole. Ever since I installed a power commander and had it dyno tuned, I haven’t had an issue with heat.
