Default Baffles on big radius

I have an 07 FXSTC with the V&H BR and I want it a little bit louder. Has anyone taken the baffles out or cut them? How loud is it when this is done?

Is it a BETTER sound? Also is there any noticeable loss in power?

I got em. Took the baffles out, and yes they are loud, but I like it that way. I have run without baffles for several months, and have had no hassles from anyone yet. As they say, don't act like a D**K and you should'nt have anyproblems.

DeanO, you and I have the same bike so I think you will like the sound. I haven't noticed any appreciable power loss with them out.

Anytime you pull the baffles you will lose low end torque because of back pressure. I noticed it when I pulled mine. I installed the Thunder Monster baffles from Big City Thunder. Sounds as close to open pipes as you can get and you dont lose your low end power.

Go to your local shop and pick up a set of torque cones. I got a used set for about $10. I am running the Big Radius on an 06 Springer Softtail. No problems. Will cure that low end torque problenm. And they are loud but not to loud.

I put the "Thunder Monster" baffle's in mine. Made it a little louder with a more throaty sound. Took out some of the blatty sound.
