Default Back on a Train

Been a member here since… ‘08? My first night train was stolen in ‘12 and I picked up my Street Glide the same year. But the Train lust dies hard. Spent the last 12 years pining for another one. And I finally pulled the trigger.

Just picked up a 2007 FXSTB with a 250mm Heartland kit and front fender. After over a decade of riding a bagger, it’s a shock to return to something so… basic and elemental. And the giant rear tire makes for… an interesting ride, that’s for sure.

Super psyched to be back in SoftailLand.

And now to open my wallet to truly make her mine… paint, bars, suspension… lol

Yeah, Softails aren’t long distance bikes to begin with. Add a massive piece of rubber like this and yeah… interesting.

I bought a new black 2007 FXSTB in 2006. I loved that bike. That is, until I rode it from Central WI to Sturgis in 2008. I stopped at the my dealership on the way home and traded it in for a 2009 Street Glide. I'd love to find another Night Train for shorter rides.

Thats precisely what I’ve done here. I’ll never give up my Glide.

Nice. We both have the best of both worlds.

Thanks dude. Already have a few parts ordered. Whomever put chrome parts on a Night Train needs their head examined.

Why do people continue to say this?
