Default EVAP tube question

fuel injected '04 Deuce w/bone stock 88
From looking at my manual, that looks like the EVAP tube
(see photo)

in the manual photo, there is a rubber cap on it
mine is gone ..and by the looks of it, gone for some time
Does it matter?

Thanks

I ran into a similar situation when upgrading my twin cam throttle body to the SE 50mm.

OEM had one port and the SE had two.

I posted a question on how to proceed and was told to just cap the second port.

I am not a professional, so I took the advice from a well known reputable forum member and capped it.
