British Columbia?

$3100 CND is $2200 USD
I reckon that price includes new OEM bars?
How much are they?

The question is....Do YOU like them?

Ride it a bit and then decide.

I find enough subtle differences between "T Bars" and "Drag bars" that I like the drag bars....

IMHO, drag bars are not as high (not more than a 4-6" rise). They also don't go straight up, they have pullback...

When I bought my then new, '78 FXS, I was planning on changing out the OEM drag bars fairly quickly.... That is until I rode it for a couple hundred miles. The drag bars won me over...

Here's a pic of my '78 FXS, followed by a comparison between what I call "T Bars" and then "drag bars"...

My 2 cents based on me being one who changes his mind often and 2nd guesses everything.
I would NOT be in a hurry, ride around with it awhile as stock bars my hurt your shoulder like it does me. You may kick yourself for changing them.
I had KST bars installed on my Street Glide at a bike rally for $700 +/-. after I had stock bars for a year. Way less $ than my dealer so I would give it some time and perhaps change out at your next rally and keep in mind, MOST folks don't like stock bars so just be 100%. Thats my 2 cents...

Thanks for all the feedback. I found the bars comfortable but I just don't like the big gap between the top of the bars and headlight. I have found a solution that will fill this gap and provide me with something useful. I'll get a fork/roll bag and place it in the gap, ride the bike for a while and see how I like the handlebars. A lot cheaper than replacing them.

Good call on leaving those bars on and giving them a try. As u mentioned already, they are comfortable.

I put a handlebar bag on mine as well. I like the look of the drags bars, with or with out the bag. Just find it very handy for holding paper work, wallet, hat and other small items.

5" drag bars on my night train

You can even fill that gap a little better. Take a look at Thrashin Supply handlebar bags

On my 1978 FXS with drag bars, I found the space forward the bars and between the risers was just perfect for holding a beer....

But that was a different time...
