Question Softail Deluxe or Heritage Classic?

Admittedly ignorant of the model types, good, better, best etc. Looking for veteran knowledge of these particular models be it Pro's/Con's Etc. if I may ask? The 2021 heritage has the Milwaukee-EightŽ 107 Big Twin. The 2019 Deluxe has the Milwaukee-EightŽ 114, OPINIONS?

If it was me I would go with the Heritage. I have experience with both and I believe that more aftermarket parts are available for the Heritage and it is easier to wrench on. Plus, the Deluxe is discontinued. Just my

The Deluxe sits about 1" lower than the Heritage...if that is important to you.

The Heritage absorbs the bumps a bit better, and can handle more rider/passenger/luggage weight better.

There are small design differences, some prefer the look of one over the other.

Almost all parts that will fit one will fit the other, I would not be concerned about that.

I personally prefer the look of the Deluxe over the Heritage (fenders, tail light), but I prefer the better rear suspension on the Heritage, so I purchased a Heritage and made some changes to look more like a Deluxe.

Both of the bikes you pictured have had aftermarket parts added to them...that may factor in.

IF both engines are in good condition, you will feel the difference in power of the 114 over the 107, if that is important to you.

With any used bike, it is recommended to go over it thoroughly to make sure nothing ugly shows up a week or month after you have purchased it. That includes a Leak-Down Test (video below)

Take as a long of a test ride as they will allow you, you want to see how it rides, and which one you like better.

Have fun shopping!

There's very little difference between them, pick whichever one you like the best.

I’m partial to the Heritage, but they are very similar and parts are found easy for both. You didn’t mention miles on them or difference in cost. That may be what would sway me one way or the other along with the engine. The differences in height and general suspension can be overcome with aftermarket. With that said, the rear suspension on both of these is leaps and bounds better than the old air ride years ago.

Mostly as stock...
Solo seat, Low bars, White walls, 114 vs Passenger pad with backrest, High bars, Black walls, 107.
See if either one needs tires.
I could be happy with either.

Like @Dseago1969 I'm partial to the Heritage also.
I would definitely ride em both. Those V&H SS Staggered on the Heritage is definitely going to be a lot louder then
the V&H Slip Ons on the Deluxe. I do love my Heritage, but I'll admit, that Deluxe is real sexy looking. Good luck.

Either one looks like a good choice. I've had a 107 and we now have 2 bikes with 114 motors, a 2024 Heritage is one of them. The 114 is my preference and I do really like that softail deluxe. Wife really wanted a Heritage after she test rode one last summer so that's what we ended up with. I'm 6'-2" tall and I've ridden hers, I like it, I would need to address some things, bars, seat, etc. but it fits her perfect. At almost 62 years old, I can see me getting something like this when my road glide special gets too heavy for me(10-15 years from now) .

I prefer the Deluxe for a few reasons. First as mentioned the lower seat height. Secondly I prefer the look of the tombstone tailight on the Deluxe. And then there are the handlebars. From the factory the Heritage comes with mini ape hangers that although comfortable, im not all that crazy about the look. Then there is the retro look of the Deluxe. The Deluxe scratches that nostalgia itch a bit more for me.
