Default Riser change

Hello Group,

I have a stock 1986 Heritage Softail that I would like to change the handlebars on. The current factory bars are functionally great, but I like the look of the traditional FLH bars (think Roadking). I am wondering what the best choice of risers would be. First guess would be to get a set of 05 and later Deluxe risers as they have the pull-back element that I would need but I do not know if they are compatible. 3-1/2 pullback risers are plentiful on eBay but I am not sure if the positioning would be right. I'm sure this mod has been done a gazillion times and was hoping someone would have some input. Thanks. Joe

I had the FLH (Road King/Fatboy) bars on my 2000 Heritage when I first got it. I did wind up using
the risers. I think they were the 3 1/2" set back ones. It was ok.
After that I put Dyna Wide Glide bars on it. I had a few different combos on
that one. Best bars for me is what I have now. The Chubby 8.5" mini apes.

The Deluxe risers will work. It could be the right combo for you.
