I'm thinking some 14" ape hangers are in order. I have been eyeing the Chubby Wild 1 Outlawz....What I really am looking for are classic ape hangers that are narrow on the bottom and slightly taper outward as they rise and have smooth/rounded bends. I didn't realize handlebar options are a bit limited on these Springers.

Any ideas?
I have OEM bars on my CrossBones and Chubby Wild 1 drag bars on my '01 Springer. (pics in post #3).
Always liked the springer front end. Nice bike. When I found my 94 heritage I also found a 94 springer. The heritage was my first choice. The springer is still available. I keep looking at the ad. I have to stop looking though. Lol

I can relate....I really want an evo Heritage as well....problem is I have a 2005 Road King, this Springer, a '74 Ironhead, and my wife's '07 Sporty.....I don't have anymore room! Guess it's time to build a shop?

Better build a big one....!!!
I built one in 2014, ran out of room 4 years later... and they're still a couple bikes I would love to have... but no where to keep them...
Im at the point that if it came down to being able to keep just one. The Springer would be the one Id keep. My Shovel has been with me for over 30 years and it was the first bike I ever built from the ground up and the only bike I was sponsored with when going to the races but the power of the Springer is just hypnotic. I could never let it go.
I know if the three its the worst handling and probably the most uncomfortable other than potholes with the hardtail shovel but still it would be the last to go.

You can get an adapter plate to fit normal bars on a springer. The main difference is the center on center spacing of the knurling. TC Bros makes one that I know of off the top of my head.

Your last paragraph. That's exactly how I feel. My 74 would go before my 96 Springer.
