Default 2000 fatboy left turn signal not flashing

I have a 00 fatboy with full LEDs around i recently purchased a new rear brake light/TS combo and for some reason my left turn signal refuses to flash. it will illuminate on the front and rear TS but not flash. right TS works just fine. I have swapped my rear TS wires and the problem travels to the right side right TS refuses to flash when activated by the left TS button on the handle bars but left works fine, when i activate my hazards all lights will flash correctly so obviously something with the left TS system is wrong but im at a loss of what it could be. any help or advice would be appreciated.

What LED lights did you buy?

I ask that question, because I have read where a few people buying the cheap LED kits on Amazon just couldn't get them to work. I guess some of the cheap chinesium LEDs don't play well with the Harley TSMs.

Since your problem travels to the other side when swapping wires, I would check the TS socket, wires, and connection to the circuit board behind the tail light. Check the connector to the circuit board for a loose pin or corrosion.

Others will surely chime in with more suggestions and ideas.

Good luck with your diagnosis.. Keep us posted, especially if you find a fix...

i’ve purchased an eagle lights HALOZ led tail light it previously had an eagle lights tail light just different style, from what i’ve been told they’re great tail lights and not just some chinesium knock off, i’ll go thru and take a closer look at the circuit board later this afternoon

Very Interesting.....

I don't have the answer, so I didn't bring it up before.... but a very similar thing happened to me with Eagle LED lights.

I recently bought a 2009 CrossBones (8/2024). On every bike I have owned since my 2012 Ultra Limited (bought new), I almost immediately do three things:

1) Add an LED rear tail light. Usually BAL-1, but have also used Custom Dynamics before they got all fancy.

2) Add a Run/Turn/Brake module, switching my rear turn signals to red lenses, and the R/T/B operation.

3) Add LED turn signals. I do this last, as time & budget permit.

I actually like the look of OEM lights, but as LEDs. I don't want/like the "custom" look on my lights. What can I say, just my preference.

I added a BAL-1 to my Crossbones, no problem.

I decided to add the Run/Turn/Brake module, along with the load equalizer & LED turn signals at the same time.

I am usually a Custom Dynamics guy. Recently they have gotten too fancy for my tastes. They add extra wires for extra LED lights to the Smart R/T/B & equalizer modules. I don't need extra useless (to me) wires under my seat. They don't offer their old one color, plug & play LED bulbs anymore. They have dynamic rings, halos, and even their basic solid rear red LEDs are no longer completely plug & play, as they are not compatible with OEM lenses....

I decided to try something different. I read a good review of Eagle Lights LED Products and decided to try them. I got front & rear LED bulbs, the eagle lights R/T/B module and the Eagle Lights load equalizer.

All my lights functioned properly in OEM, incandescent form.

I added the the modules (in the correct order), and the new LEDs. All the lights worked properly, except for the left rear turn signal bulb. My left rear turn signal wouldn't even illuminate.

Thinking I may have gotten a bad bulb, I switched rear turn signal bulbs..... left side still wouldn't light, but the bulb worked in the right side...

I switched my left rear turn signal plug in the circuit board behind the tail light, with the right side plug, The problem travelled to the right side....

I purchased a new socket and wires, and installed them in the left side turn signal harness. The left turn signal still didn't illuminate....

I removed all four of the Eagle LED lights, and the Eagle load equalizer... put the incandescent light bulbs back in, and all worked as designed.... So I have the R/T/B function and a good LED tail light/ brake light...

Someday I may revisit the issue, but for now, I left it that way..

I can't bring myself to sell the Eagle LEDs to someone else, not knowing what the problem is.. Since I'm done with Eagle lights, there's no need to call them and have them do the vendor dance, blaming me and my bike. For all I know, it could be a problem with my bike, albeit I can't think of what that would be, and I'm just not in the mood to play around to find out since it works in OEM form.

I put the Eagle LED bulbs, and Eagle load equalizer in my parts cabinet, awfully close to my shop trash can.. They may just fall into that trash can some day..

Sorry I don't have the answer, I just cut my loses, and gave up on Eagle Lights... Yeah, I took the coward's easy way out, but at my age, and with four bikes to mod & maintain, I pick & choose my battles....
