Fuel line question

Default Fuel line question
2006 Heritage Softail,
there is a 3/8-1/2” what looks like a fuel line,
that connects, underneath the tank from one side of the tank to the opposite side(it is fastened via crimped clamps) this line also runs under the frame, without disconnecting, it prevents me from removing the tank. I need to know if this is indeed a fuel line before I disconnect it to remove the tank.
any insight will be greatly appreciated and hopefully prevent me making a total mess.

It is a fuel line. You need to drain the tank to avoid a mess.

It's just not a big deal, put a vacuum cap on the tank nipple when you remove the hose and a golf tee in the hose then you can easily remove the tank.

Used on split tanks too,
drain the tank(s) and add a quick disconnect for future.

If you are going to work on your own bike, an FSM would be your friend.
