Default Deluxe; smaller frame?

Greetings, I was just watching a video - Ride Like A Pro. @ 1:50 the fella stated that the frame on the Deluxe was cut down a bit to accomodate shorter riders. I was under the impression it was a matter of a unique riser, pull back handle bars and seat design. A Softail frame is a Softail frame right? Or am I wrong. What say you? Thanks!

Ronnie's says the Deluxe and the Heritage frame are the same part number.

The difference between the Deluxe & Heritage are the length of the rear shock absorbers, they have the same front forks, so the Deluxe sits lower.

There is no difference on the suspension between the Deluxe & Slim, however the riding position of the Slim seat is further back, this is achieved by the riders seat & handle bar position.

If you look at a TC Deluxe the front of the seat goes up the tank & covers the rear tank mounting screw, the front of the Slim seat is much further back and the mounting screw fully exposed!

A lot can be achieved regards position buy changing seats, handle bars & risers.

Generally for Police, Ride Like a Pro, slow manoeuvring, 'they' get you to move as far up the seat to sit nearest the tank, so regards the example of the Deluxe & Slim, this is far easier and further forward on the Deluxe than it would be on the Slim.

TC for Twin Cam, rather than Evo or M8 Engine configuration.
