I too am 5'6" and I don't have a problem with my stock bars. No problem with flat footing it either. Was thinking about putting on drag bars, but as I mentioned, I like my bars.
I'm gonna have to do something. I put 100 miles of hiway miles on it today & my elbows ached a little from being extended the whole time. I'm gonna try & find some pull back risers. That way I don't have to mess with all of the controls. On the good side, the Mustang I bought off of ebay seat felt great on my ars compared to the stock seat.

A bed of nails is more comfortable than hd's stock seats..............
Have you considered a stem cell based arm extension? Probably less trouble than changing bars with internal wiring as I found outlast week.

I recently bought a 99 fatboy. I'm 5'6" & can flat foot it ok, but I'm reaching for the handle bars,(stock bars),a bit too much. I just put on a Mustang Vintage 1 piece seat hoping that would move me closer, but I don't really think it makes much of a difference. What handle bars could I change to that would come back further for me. Perferably without changing all of the cables. Thanks.
