I'm a fan of purging the oil from the engine case as part of an oil change. I made my own scavenger and it's its really not that much of a p.i.t.a. However, I was told by someone who says he's a certified master level Harley mechanic, that there is a threaded plug on the bottom of the engine on my 1993 Heritage Classic for draining that oil in the case. Only problem is that I can't find it. Any truth to the existence of said plug???

There is no drain plug on the crankcase of a Harley Evolution Softail engine.
There have been many times when I wished the Evo Softail had an oil pan under the transmission, that oil tank seems to be in the way much of the time, although I have gotten pretty fast removing and installing it at this point.
