Well working on my evo 98 fatboy as I begun t o torque them one stud which I previously installed a time sert it spun what if any good or best thread lock is out there any and all referrals welcomed
Sounds like you stripped the case where the time sert was installed. Time to pull it apart and weld. Job for a machinist who has aluminum welding capabilities.
They do make oversized timeserts.. Give that a try. When you cut the new treads use Tapmagic aluminum cutting fluid.. The main reason for either a timesert or helicoil failing is improper cut threads.
I agree with Mr. M. I would give it a go again with a slight over sized Sert. I would also use red Loc-tite, or one of the help will free over first heavy duty loc-tites. I can't remember the #, but can get it for you if you want. There is one that is the true FOREVER bastard of all loc-tites.
