Hi,
Has anyone had any experience'swith Samson pipes, in particular the Rip Saw's,
What do they sound like, are they loud,
I'd liketo fit a set to my Fat Boy,
Anyone got a pic with these fitted.
Iâve had these on for almost 6 months. The full length welded heat shields are great. Installation took about 15 minutes. They are loud but so far I haven't had any complaints from the neighbors. A couple of weeks ago I had a pickup truck drift into my lane. He didnât hear my horn but when I pulled in the clutch and revved the engine it got his attention.
they sound the best next to drag pipes in my opinion and are great pipes if you want to open it up alot but can hurt torqe and you air fuel ratios are harder to tune
Great pipes. Good deep sound. You can kinda keep them quite when you have too. Just stay light on the throttle. The only thing is if you are on dirt or a dusty road and start the bike , they kick up dust.
I have the Samson II, Rip Saws. They come without baffles and are very loud. I am pretty sure, they have Samson III, Rip Saws that come with baffles. I ended up putting Khrome Werks drag pipe baffles in mine. It lowered the sound a little, but they are still pretty loud.
