I put them on my Deuce because they look and sound great but they have an X hidden behind the cover. Essentially they help performance by being 2 into 1 into 2...

Im in total agreement with this. I installed the BSS on my Hreitage a couple of months after I bought it new and they are still on the bike and still look good good after 20 years.
