I thought it would reach more of those affected and spare those who aren't affected this way.
I seem to remember recalls in the past that were Do Not Ride, but I cant find them. Anyone know?
I guess if no serious injuries or deaths have occurred, even though a recall might specifically mention risk of crash, they leave it up to the rider to decide if the risk is worth taking or not. <shrug>

M1724: RECALL 0192-2025 and 2026 Softail Rear Brakeline
Status
We strongly urge you to take the affected motorcycle to an authorized Harley-Davidson dealer to have the appropriate service performed as soon as possible
Recall Description
The rear brake line (part number 41800974) on certain MY25-26 Softail model motorcycles may contact the body control module (BCM).
Remedy Description
The BCM caddy and associated hardware will be replaced on all affected vehicles. In addition, the rear brake line will be inspected and, if damaged, will be replaced along with associated parts.
Safety Risk Description
Contact between the brake line and the BCM, over time, could lead to a hole in the brake line and a loss of brake fluid. If brake fluid loss remains undetected, rear braking may be compromised, increasing the risk of a crash.

The 18+s had a similar one. The metal front brake line was bent wrong and rubbing on gas tank. I saw mine and put zip ties on to help insulate. Obviously, when it was able it got new brake line and new gas tank. This new one doesn't seem as bad but I will certainly take a look at it. It has 1000 miles so still pretty new. If it's rubbing, it's rubbing.
