No I do not want the trim panels, just the 7" headlight.
A 7" headlight? Not many street lights in your area?LOL! Do you know how big a 7" light will look on those wideglide forks? Below is a 5" assembly on standard wideglide forks.
I'm just curious if you have visualized one, or are you changing out forks? I would love to see pics of your vision once its done, but I must say I'm skeptical. Tell us a bit more what your idea is.
Well... I did see a Softail Std, in NC that had a Road King Nacelle adapted to a FX front, and it looked VERY cool, but for what a Nacelle goes for it's out of my budget. I have a new visor trim ring for a Fatboy, and mocked it in place on my bike, and it will look fine. I don't think it will give off much more light, but I want something DIFFERENT. No there are not many street lights were I ride.LOL.
The FB light does mount the same way a Std FX light doesBTW.
Jeff, I replaced the 7" light on my Heritage Sloptail with a 5" model. The mounting stud was in a slightly different location and I had to make up something to allow the light to sit properly. I ended up using a piece of square stock, cut, drilled, & tapped as necessary, and added to the original mount.
